I was in this online portal a few nites back when I saw the SN icon blinked.Thinking that it's juz a message from one of my frenz or someone juz wanting to say hi, I clicked on the icon to read what the message said. The person juz wrote "Hi, skeleton." (translation from Malay which meant hantulang)Thinking that the person was juz pulling my leg, I replied to say that it's a sin to call people names. The person replied back and gave me a sermon about not dressing appropriately. When I read the message, I totally flipped. It's fair enough to advise or even criticise a person if you knew them. But I mean, that person did not even know me. Who gave him the right to criticise me juz by looking at my picture? 1 picture does not tell you everything about a person let alone their character, background or even the way they normally dress. It's not as if I was wearing something so obscene. It's juz a dress, for goodness sake, a short sleeved one - something that I wore so I would look fairly decent in my pic. I replied back with a nasty message. I've never ever been so nasty to a stranger in my life but I couldn't care less. I guess he got the hint that I was mad coz he didn't bother to reply back. It's still affecting me, this incident. It made me rethink the phrase "First impressions count." I guess it's important to leave a good first impression on people who could make a difference to your life. You've already formed an impression of me, whoever you are without knowing me. I will leave it at that. Coz eventually when all this fizzles out, your opinion won't matter to me anymore. To me, you are juz a nobody........
